Autumn 2013

To another season of top-notch performance, installation and writing events at Axis Arts Centre.

We’ve re-configured things a little here at Axis, to preserve what we are best at whilst expanding what we do and how we tell you about it. Read on about the three separate strands of new professional arts practice the centre is now proud to present.
In the Performance Programme, curated as always by Neil Mackenzie, we are once again delighted to bring to the region the very best, cutting edge performance across and between the fields of theatre, dance, music and writing.
In the OpenSpace Programme, curated once again by Jane Linden, we continue to provide space for a wide range of artists to extend their practice and to expose and articulate their creative process.
And we are delighted to introduce CreativeWritingPlus, curated by Robert Graham, a free entry, lunchtime series of visiting writers reading their own work, which has been going for a while but has now come into the Axis fold.
Alongside all of this professional arts practice Axis Arts Centre will also be presenting, coordinating and profiling an enhanced range of other activities, from student performances to community and education projects, either at Axis Arts Centre itself, or elsewhere in the county and region. Full details will be posted on the arts centre website.
But for now, have a look through this expanded brochure for another extra-ordinary mix of old and new faces committed to testing the creative boundaries in the most engaging and challenging ways…
Don’t miss out!
