Artist/Curator Kristin Scheving presents a selection of experimental films, animation, fiction and short films from all over the world.
After living and studying in the UK and France, including here at Alsager, Kristin moved back to her homeland, Iceland, and started a new experimental film and video festival, 700IS Reindeerland. The only experimental film festival in Iceland 700IS Reindeerland, with the help of various founders and government, is a fast growing event with prizes worth £5000. This year there were over 500 submissions from all over the world of which 85 films were exhibited. Of these a 700IS selection goes on a further voyage this autumn, being shown in Reykjavik, St Petersburg, Arizona and Alsager.
Winning films this year were: HOT AIR by Angela Ellsworth and Anna by Helena Stefánsdóttir.
